ROLE PURPOSE
To drive qualified B2B pipeline growth through strategic prospect marketing, executive-level copywriting, and multi-channel outreach targeting C-suite leaders in housing, local government, and public administration.
This role requires someone capable of:
- Writing at executive/C-suite level
- Understanding B2B positioning
- Running structured outreach campaigns
- Managing prospect databases
- Generating qualified conversations
CORE OBJECTIVES
- Increase qualified executive-level leads
- Improve response rate on cold & warm outreach
- Maintain a clean, updated prospect database
- Support strategic positioning of Connex Leadership Networks
- Assist in scaling membership growth
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive-Level Prospect Marketing (Primary Focus)
- Develop and execute structured B2B outreach campaigns
- Write cold and warm email sequences tailored to C-suite leaders
- Draft executive-level LinkedIn connection and DM scripts
- Adapt messaging tone to senior decision-makers
- Avoid AI-generic language; ensure high-level business tone
- Personalize outreach based on sector intelligence
LinkedIn Outreach & Prospecting
- Use LinkedIn (Sales Navigator preferred) for executive targeting
- Identify senior leaders within housing, public administration & local government
- Execute connection strategy and follow-up sequences
- Track engagement and responses
- Maintain professional communication tone aligned with UK executive culture
Prospect Database Management
- Update and sanitize existing prospect lists
- Research missing executive details
- Verify decision-makers
- Segment lists by:
- Role level
- Region
- Sector
- Engagement status
Campaign Analytics & Performance Monitoring
- Track:
- Open rates
- Response rates
- Conversion to conversation
- Recommend improvements based on performance data
- Adjust subject lines and messaging angles accordingly
COPYWRITING REQUIREMENTS
The candidate MUST:
- Write confidently at C-suite level
- Avoid AI-sounding copy
- Understand B2B nuance
- Demonstrate strong business writing structure
- Understand UK executive tone (polished, concise, strategic)

- Email platforms (Outlook / Gmail)
- CRM (flexible – to be discussed)
- Excel / Google Sheets
- Prospect list management tools
- AI tools allowed but NOT for raw copy generation

- Must be able to complete a structured trial task
