Looking for: Creative Virtual Assistant
Role Overview:
Seeking a highly creative and proactive Virtual Assistant to support our growing marathon-inspired print business. This role will primarily focus on Canva-based product design, social media engagement, and sales-driven interaction.
We are looking for someone who can take initiative, think creatively, and naturally communicate with potential customers to drive engagement and sales.
Scope of Work:
- Canva Product Design (Primary Initial Focus)
- Use existing Canva templates to create new marathon/race print designs.
- Follow clear design systems and brand guidelines.
- Create post-ready product mockups.
- Customize purchased prints (add customer name, finish time, race details).
- Export print-ready and digital files accurately.
- Social Media Engagement (Instagram & TikTok)
- Research marathons and race-related hashtags.
- Engage with race participants by:
- Liking and commenting on posts
- Sending thoughtful, natural DMs
- Interacting with race pages and communities
- Study previous brand interactions to maintain consistent brand voice.
- Gradually assist with posting new product content.
- Use ChatGPT (guided) to help draft replies while maintaining natural tone.
- Sales & Growth Support
- Drive traffic and sales through daily engagement.
- Assist in identifying new races to expand into (U.S.-based).
- Conduct light market research on potential race partnerships.
- Help gather user-generated content for advertising.
- Support TikTok Shop setup and optimization.
- Eventually assist with Meta and TikTok ad management (after onboarding).
Qualifications:
- Strong Canva skills (comfortable using templates and customizing designs)
- Creative eye for layout and design
- Strong written English communication
- Comfortable engaging in sales-oriented conversations via social media
- Proactive and able to take initiative without constant supervision
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Preferred (Huge Plus):
- Knowledge of marathons, running culture, or race events
- Experience with Instagram & TikTok growth strategies
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager or TikTok Ads
- Experience setting up TikTok Shop
- Basic market research experience
Tools Required:
- Canva (provided access)
- Instagram & TikTok (login provided)
- ChatGPT (for assisted response drafting)
- Google Docs/Sheets (for research tracking)
- Meta Ads Manager (future phase)
- TikTok Shop Seller Center (future phase)
Training & Onboarding Plan:
Phase 1 (Weeks 1–2):
- Focus exclusively on learning the product
- Create new designs using existing Canva templates
- Customize sample orders
- Understand brand voice and audience
Phase 2 (After Initial Training):
- Begin social media engagement
- Post new product releases
- Assist with market research
- Gradually expand into ads and TikTok Shop setup
Shifts & Communication:
- Starting with a minimum of 10 hours per week; flexible schedule
- Preferred overlap: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM CST
- Occasional team meetings may occur between 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM CST
- Majority of communication handled by Sullivan
- Periodic joint meetings with both founders as needed
Target Start Date: Flexible / Not urgent
- Hiring will proceed once the right candidate is identified
