Sales Virtual Assistant
Role Overview
This is a sales-focused Virtual Assistant role supporting outbound calling and closing
for an AI-powered service that helps plumbers and trade businesses capture more leads
and book more jobs automatically.
This is not a passive admin role. The VA will be expected to confidently hold real
conversations, handle objections, and guide prospects toward saying yes (or booking a
demo call).
What we sell (quick overview):
We help plumbing businesses (and similar trades) never miss a lead again. Using AI voice
agents and automation, we handle inbound calls, qualify leads, and book jobs — even
after hours. Think of it as hiring a 24/7 receptionist that never calls in sick.
Core responsibilities:
- Outbound cold calls — calling plumbers from a lead list and qualifying interest
- Follow-ups — nurturing warm leads who’ve shown interest but haven’t committed
- Closing — walking prospects through the offer, handling objections, and getting
them to say yes (or booking a demo call)
Training and resources provided:
- Call script and objection-handling framework
- Loom videos walking through how calls should sound
What I’m Looking For
- Strong English communication — clear, confident, and easy to understand on the
phone
- Sales experience (doesn’t have to be in tech — trades, insurance, real estate, etc.
are all fine)
- Comfortable with rejection and knowing when to push vs. when to move on
- Reliable internet and a quiet calling environment
- Bonus: familiarity with CRMs (Go High Level preferred), AI tools, or calling
software like JustCall or Aircall
Video Application
To save time on both sides, please send a 1–2 minute video answering the questions
below. This helps assess communication skills and fit before moving forward.
Question 1 — Why are you interested in this position?
Tell me why sales appeals to you and why you want to work in a role focused on outbound
calls and closing.
Question 2 — What do you know about our company and what we sell?
Do a little research and tell me what you understand about AI tools for trade businesses
— and why you think a plumber would or wouldn’t care about this.
Question 3 — Describe your sales background.
What have you sold before? Walk me through a deal or call you’re proud of — what
happened, how you handled it, and what the outcome was.
Question 4 — How do you handle objections or rejection on a call?
Give me a real example. What did the prospect say, how did you respond, and what did
you learn from it?
Question 5 — What is your ideal work environment and how do you stay motivated
doing repetitive outbound work?
Closing deals requires dialing a lot of numbers. Tell me how you keep your energy and
focus up across a long calling session.
Question 6 — How do you currently use AI tools in your work?
Please give a specific example of a task you have used AI for, and describe how it
improved your output or efficiency.
Note: There is no wrong answer. We use AI actively in this role and want to understand
your comfort level and approach.
After reviewing your video answers, we’ll jump on a quick chat to discuss rates, hours,
and next steps.
