Video Editor and Social Media Manager

Business: Destination Wedding & Honeymoon Travel Advisory

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Virtual Assistant to support Sully Montero with video editing for her YouTube channel and social media content management for Instagram. This VA will help repurpose long-form content into multiple formats, manage scheduled posting, and ensure consistency across platforms.

This is a part-time role with flexibility in working hours. The VA must be proactive, organized, and capable of handling content efficiently with attention to quality and deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Video Editing (YouTube Channel)
  • Edit 45-minute raw footage into 4–5 separate long-form videos (4–7 minutes each).
  • Cut out mistakes, filler words, and off-topic segments; ensure polished and coherent content.
  • Maintain a consistent video format as per client guidance.
  • Upload edited files for client review (client will handle final scheduling/posting).
  1. Social Media Content Management (Instagram)
  • Repurpose YouTube videos into blog posts and Instagram posts.
  • Create 3–4 reels, carousels, or posts per week.
  • Ensure content aligns with client branding and voice.
  • Schedule posts in advance (client will approve final schedule).
  1. Content Repurposing & Coordination
  • Convert long-form video content into blog posts and other social media formats as needed.
  • Maintain content calendars to ensure timely posting and repurposing.
  • Ensure all content is accessible for client review and feedback.
  1. Reporting & Communication
  • Provide end-of-day or weekly updates on tasks completed.
  • Proactively notify client if additional tasks are required or if hours are not fully utilized.
  • Communicate efficiently regarding challenges, delays, or task clarification.

 

Skills & Tools:

  • Video Editing Tools: Proficient in any video editing software compatible with client’s preferences (Canva, CapCut, or other YouTube-friendly tools).
  • Social Media Platforms: Instagram (preferred), YouTube content management.
  • Content Repurposing Tools: Canva or equivalent for graphics creation.
  • Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, proactive, flexible, strong communication, reliable in meeting deadlines.
  • Experience: Prior experience in video editing, social media repurposing, and managing content calendars is required.

 

Preferences & Expectations:

  • Flexible hours within client’s timezone
  • Client will approve all social media posts before posting.
  • Minimum of 10 hours/week
  • VA cannot work more than agreed hours without client approval.

Role Type: Part-time

Hours: Minimum 10 hours/week (flexible schedule; can scale to 20+ hours/week with client approval)
