Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented, professional Lead Generation & Outreach Virtual Assistant to support targeted B2B outreach efforts in Canada.
This role focuses on relationship-based outreach, not high-volume cold sales. The VA will help identify, organize, and nurture strategic contacts — primarily via LinkedIn and email follow-ups — with the goal of booking qualified appointments for the client.
The VA will not be responsible for writing industry thought leadership content, as this requires deep subject-matter expertise from the client. Instead, the VA will focus on research, coordination, CRM management, follow-ups, and outreach execution.
This role may expand into administrative and coordination support if outreach efforts accelerate.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Research & List Building
- Research and identify HR, procurement, and decision-makers in Canadian government, municipal, educational, and regulated organizations
- Use LinkedIn and approved tools to build targeted contact lists
- Maintain clean, organized lead records
Outreach & Follow-Up
- Send and manage LinkedIn connection requests and follow-up messages (based on client-approved messaging)
- Assist with email-based follow-ups where appropriate
- Track conversations and nurture leads toward booking a meeting
- Flag warm and interested prospects for client follow-up
CRM & Pipeline Management
- Update and manage leads inside the client’s CRM
- Track communication history, status, and next steps
- Ensure no leads fall through the cracks
Strategy Collaboration
- Work closely with the client to refine outreach workflows and follow-up timing
- Provide insights on what messaging and approaches are getting responses
- Suggest process improvements (using non-US-based tools when possible)
Appointment Coordination
- Help move interested leads toward scheduled calls or discovery meetings
- Assist with light scheduling coordination if needed
Future Growth Support (As Needed)
- Administrative assistance related to webinars, seminars, or training sessions
- Light operational or coordination support as outreach expands
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in B2B lead generation and LinkedIn outreach
- Comfortable working with consultants, educators, or professional services
- Strong written English with a professional, relationship-focused tone
- Experience using CRMs (Daylite experience is a plus, but not required)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working collaboratively with a subject-matter expert
- Proactive in tracking follow-ups and maintaining momentum
- Respectful of data privacy preferences and open to using non-US tools when possible
Tools & Platforms
- LinkedIn (Sales Navigator likely)
- Daylite CRM (Mac-based)
- Email platforms
- Spreadsheet or tracking tools (non-Google preferred where possible)
Work Setup
- Starting Hours: 10 hours per week (with potential increase in hours)
- Schedule: Must overlap with Eastern Time (Canada) business hours
- Start Date: Flexible — ideally within the next 1–2 months, possibly sooner depending on project developments
Success in This Role Looks Like
- Consistent outreach activity to qualified Canadian prospects
- Organized and up-to-date CRM records
- Steady flow of warm conversations
- Qualified appointments being booked for the client
