Looking for: Social Media and Marketing Virtual Assistant
Role Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Virtual Assistant with a strong background in social media management to support the launch and growth of a purpose-driven consumer product brand in Australia, the UK, and New Zealand (with future global expansion).
This role will focus on content creation, short-form video editing, posting and scheduling, audience engagement, and light research to support influencer and content creator discovery. The VA will work closely with the founder and family-run team, following clear brand guidelines and supplied raw content.
Scope of Work:
- Content Creation & Editing (Primary Focus)
- Create branded social media content using supplied raw footage, images, and assets
- Edit short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, Stories) from provided videos
- Design static graphics where needed, aligned with brand colours, fonts, and tone
- Ensure consistency with brand voice and visual identity
- Posting, Scheduling & Platform Management
- Schedule and post content primarily on Instagram
- Support expansion to Facebook and Meta platforms as required
- Coordinate content uploads for Shopify website where applicable
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence
- Community Engagement
- Engage with followers through likes, comments, and basic interactions
- Support brand visibility and community trust through thoughtful engagement
- Research & Support Tasks (As Needed)
- Research and identify potential content creators and professionals (e.g. occupational therapists, epilepsy or mental-health–aligned practitioners) based on defined criteria
- Use ethical, reasonable research methods and tools (manual or AI-assisted)
- No direct outreach required unless agreed later
- Organisation & Asset Management
- Organise content, folders, and assets (e.g. within Canva)
- Help streamline workflows and improve content organisation
Tools & Platforms:
- Canva (primary design tool)
- CapCut (short-form video editing)
- Descript (AI-assisted video editing and clipping)
- Instagram (primary platform)
- Meta / Facebook (secondary, growing use)
- Shopify (content coordination only)
- Optional/Exploratory: AI research tools for creator discovery
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation
- Highly experienced in marketing and content strategies
- Strong understanding of short-form video content and trends
- Ability to work from brand guidelines and follow creative direction
- Organised, reliable, and respectful of realistic workloads
- Experience working with purpose-led, wellness, health, or lifestyle brands is a plus
- Comfortable working with a founder-led business and small team
Shifts & Hours:
- Starting with a minimum of 10 hours per week to start; flexible schedule
- Occasional overlap for meetings or coordination when needed
- Target Start Date: Not urgent
- Hiring is not urgent; quality fit is prioritised over speed
