The Social Media & Marketing Virtual Assistant will support a women-focused wellness brand that hosts monthly women’s retreats and provides personal fitness coaching. The business is currently operated by a single founder and needs a creative, organized VA who can take ownership of content creation, social media management, email newsletters, and basic digital marketing tasks.

This role is ideal for someone experienced in marketing for small businesses, especially in the wellness, coaching, or lifestyle space, who can independently create on-brand content and suggest effective platforms and strategies to increase visibility.

Scope of Work:

  1. Social Media Content Creation

  • Create branded graphics, posts, Reels/short-form videos, and promotional materials for Instagram and Facebook.

  • Develop 5–8 pieces of content per week (or as agreed).

  • Maintain consistent, on-brand style aligned with the company’s aesthetic and values.

  1. Social Media Management

  • Schedule posts and manage content calendars.

  • Conduct basic community engagement (liking, responding to basic comments if needed).

  • Identify optimal posting times based on audience behavior and engagement patterns.

  1. Marketing + Audience Growth

  • Recommend new platforms and strategies to promote women’s retreats and personal training services.

  • Research and list events on appropriate event platforms (Eventbrite, and other relevant sites).

  • Conduct light market research on where ideal clients are most active online.

  1. Website & Email Support

  • Update the Wix website as needed (events, landing pages, information updates).

  • Create, design, and send email newsletters and e-blogs through Wix (or alternative recommended platforms).

  1. Asset Organization & Collaboration

  • Assist with organizing brand assets, photos, and content in Google Drive or the preferred system.

  • Participate in onboarding conversations to understand brand voice, goals, and marketing direction.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in social media management and digital marketing.

  • Strong background in content creation, including graphic design and short-form video editing.

  • Familiarity with Wix (website editing, newsletter creation).

  • Understanding of marketing for wellness, fitness, coaching, or lifestyle brands is a plus.

  • Proficient in identifying audience insights, trends, and optimal posting strategies.

  • Creative, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal direction.

  • Female candidates preferred due to the women-centered nature of the business.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Tools Required:

Experience with or willingness to use:

  • Wix (website, newsletters, event pages)

  • Instagram & Facebook

  • Event posting platforms (e.g., Eventbrite + additional recommended sites)

  • Google Drive for file sharing

  • Canva or similar design tools

  • Social media scheduling tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Later, Buffer)

Shifts & Hours:

  • Initial engagement through a 10-hour short-term package (valid for 7 days) to test compatibility and workflow.

  • If all goes well in the trial project, client may transition to long term contract with a minimum of 10 hours per week commitment; flexible schedule.
