We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to support the creation of weekly video content for a finance-focused YouTube channel and related social platforms. The ideal candidate will take raw footage (filmed by the client) and produce polished, modern, corporate-style videos. The role includes editing long-form videos (5–15 minutes), repurposing content into shorts/reels, and occasionally editing longer podcast-style interviews (up to 1 hour). Branding guidelines may not be fully established yet, so the editor should be comfortable developing visual styles from scratch with guidance from the client.

Scope of Work:

  • Edit weekly long-form YouTube videos (approx. 10 minutes; range 5–15 mins).

  • Repurpose long-form content into short-form versions (reels/shorts).

  • Create a modern, corporate, dynamic-but-not-overly-flashy visual style.

  • Build videos from scratch using the client’s direction (no pre-existing branding kit).

  • Perform basic audio cleanup, remove dead errors, add text overlays as needed.

  • Edit occasional one-hour podcast episodes (less complex editing).

  • Coordinate with the client regarding:

    • Themes, topics, visual ideas

    • Release dates and content pipeline

    • File sharing and raw footage management

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in video editing (long-form YouTube content preferred).

  • Ability to develop visual branding elements from scratch.

  • Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and clean corporate aesthetics.

  • Comfortable editing long interviews and repurposing content into short-form.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience working with finance, business, or educational content is a plus.

  • Good communication skills for aligning on style and requirements.

  • Reliable and able to meet weekly publishing deadlines.

Tools Required:

  • The candidate may use any professional tools they are already comfortable with

  • No specific tool is mandated as long as the output meets quality expectations.

Shifts & Hours:

  • Starting with minimum of 10 hours per week; flexible work schedule

    • Content simply needs to be delivered before agreed release deadlines.

  • Possible workload per week:

    • 1 long-form video (5–15 min)

    • 3–4 short clips (reels)

    • Additional hours may be required when editing 1-hour podcast episodes, with notice.
